The Stanley Hotel stands all dressed up for Christmas this morning.  It looks better in person than in the picture.  You can tell that they have the top dressed in red and green lights for the holidays.

Here is Buel Porter’s “Old Woman in a Shoe” Christmas display.  This one sits in front of Timberline Medical Center on Highway 7.  The old woman doesn’t show up too well because of the lighting, but she is still there.

THE OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE

I can’t believe I didn’t get any grief or comments on my spelling of Shepherd.  That’s what happens when you let spell check take over for you.  Anyway the Shepherds are fine even though they were misspelled, the old woman is fine even though you can’t see her very well.

Have a great day – Mr. Estes Park

While looking through the trees, I did find another Shepherd.  He is a little sideways and thin in this view but he is there.  I’m hoping to be able to walk across the river and get better shots of the Shepherds, the sheep, the wise men and their camels this week.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Continuing on our Christmas quest here are two Shepherd’s in the forest.  I’m sure that is not how the story goes Shepherds in the forest.  That is what he have in Estes Park.  The trees have taken over, and our three wise men, Shepherd’s and their sheep are now wandering around in a new growth forest.

I was attempting to get better pictures, but I’m afraid that I’m going to have to walk across the frozen river, go up the bank and wander around in some deep snow to get good pictures.

Merry Christmas to you and your families.

Star and Trees

CHRISTMAS STAR ABOVE THE TREE

If you look carefully, the tree to the far left appears to be decorated with a star.  It actually is, the star that shines above downtown Estes Park, is actually right behind this tree giving it the appearance that it has a star atop.  I guess it does.
