Different View

I went to Dillon yesterday and stopped to take this shot.  It shows the snow line that is already forming in Colorado.  The ski resorts were already making snow on top of the fresh snow that has fallen.

Snow Line

Snow Line in the Colorado Rockies

It looks like it is going to be a terrific year to ski Colorado.  We’ve had an extremely nice fall but it sounds like Monday the snow season will be on full force with fresh white powder awaiting those who love to ski.

Have a great day.

Sometimes it’s just the obvious.  That and the young mind of a little girl thinking of ways to get more business for her PaPa.  While helping him do floor duty she decided to help him get some more business.  How can you just sit there and wait for people to walk in?

Additional marketing is all it takes sometimes.

You will notice the two sheets of paper below the “Open” sign.  I’ll give you a closer look at those well placed advertisements.  Sometimes you have to invite those people in.

Come on in - Buy a house

Sometimes it’s just the simple things that might work – ya never know and if you don’t ask, you will never know.

Come in and buy a house

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN COLORADO

Today was a very special day in Colorado, not that all of them aren’t.  It started out with fresh snow on Long’s Peak this morning.  This would be considered our first Official snow of the season ushering Fall in.

FRESH SNOW ON LONG'S PEAK

SUNRISE ON THE MOUNTAINS

The fresh morning light just touching the Lumpy’s South of Estes Park.  What a terrific sunrise this morning.  You can see it on the picture of Long’s above.  Don’t you wish you were here.

LONGS PEAK FRAMED IN ASPENS

Long’s Peak with fresh snow framed in aspens.  Wow, does it get any better than this.  We’ve had such a terrific Fall.

ASPENS AND POND

Pond and Aspens near the famous Bob Schorr property in Estes Park.  Bob has been playing Paul Bunyan clearing out trees on his property.  That’s what keeps Colorado beautiful – its’ people.

GERALD AND FRESH SNOW ON THE DIVIDE

Just proof that I was there, and so was the snow.  I’m ready!

FRESH SNOW ON THE DIVIDE - SKI SEASON IS NEAR.

Fresh snow at the Eisenhower Tunnel on the Contential Divide.  Yes, we are getting ready for ski season early this year.  It is supposed to be a terrific year for snow this year.  Get out the ski’s and start packing.

LOOKING ACROSS THE VALLEY

Looking down through the valley near Black Hawk – what an amazing view.

HOPES AND DREAMS - OLD GOLD MINE

The hopes and dreams which were led by greed and riches were often times greater than anyone could imagine.  Many times however they turned out like this old mine sitting in the lazy fall sunshine, abandoned and in need of repair.

CARRABOU RANCH

This is a picture of the entrance to Caribou Ranch near Nederland, Colorado.  This used to be a famous recording studio and it is now a development.

Just a quick update on the Estes Park, Colorado upcoming Elk Fest and our “Fine” Fall weather.  I was talking to a very nice lady at the Hallmark store yesterday and she said that this is the best fall weather we have had in 78 years.

Bull Elk in Combat

Two Bulls in combat

These two gentlemen are having a discussion about which one of  them is going to be successful and be the bull that gets herd of cows that is standing nearby.

Bull Elk

Magnificent 7X7 Bull Elk

What they hadn’t discussed yet, is that the winner of this little match gets to tangle horns with this seven by seven bull that seems to think all of the ladies in this herd belong to him.

Come on up, the weather is fine.

Have a great weekend
